Beau is a new missed connections app for cowboys that like cowboys. The app takes the old newspaper and digital signboard format and modernizes it… in hopes of a much higher success rate!

When viewing another’s missed connection post, hit a button to raise your hand to the author. They’ll be able to see a list of all the guys who have laid claim to their post, and if they think you’re the match (or even just wish you HAD been the match!) they’ll accept your claim and start chatting.

Here’s where it gets exciting… because Beau has the data you gave about your rendezvous, we’ll try to do some matching for you. If two separate posts log a similar encounter, we’ll show you the potential match. If users opt in to our background location feature, we’ll even notify you of a post that was written about a time and place where you were.

Beau makes it easy to discover missed connections posts at a certain time and location.

What Beau doesn’t do is show an endless grid of faces (read: torsos) that have nothing to do with the guy you’ve been looking for.

There’s more than one way to rope a calf. Only one of you has to create a post to make a match, but if both of you post, there’s a higher likelihood that you’ll find your man.

That’s all the more reason for YOU to send your post out into the world.

Precision helps our matching engine connect you to the right guy, but you’re in control of your own destiny.

If you can’t remember exactly when it happened, you can add a rough estimate to your post. If you’re not comfortable tagging your post to an exact location, you can add it to a neighborhood or city.

A location is only ever associated to a post, and you control how precise that location data is. Given that Beau is not a grid-based dating app, your current location is never displayed. Ever.

If you opt in to our background location feature that helps match you up to posts, your location data is securely stored on our servers for 30 days before it is permanently deleted.

We’ll also never sell this data to third parties. Ever.

Beau is built for gay, bi, trans, and queer guys, 18+.

Most “dating” apps optimize for finding the guy who’s available right now.

Beau is built to help you find the guy who you already had a spark with but didn’t quite get to make it happen.

So when you get wherever you’re going, put your phone away! If you need to find your outlaw, you’ll be able to find him tomorrow on Beau.

When you make a match on Beau (and ONLY after you make a match), chat will unlock and you’ll be able to send text and picture messages to each other.
